In my just completed Hawaii Big Island photo workshops, I shared this special view of the Kilauea Caldera with my workshop participants. Because the Milky Way's position shifts with the season and time of night, it took some special effort to find the spot on the rim where the Milky Way aligns with the caldera's, but I think the effort was worth it.
