One of the biggest differences between the camera's reality and ours is the camera's ability to accumulate light. When I photographed this moonbow (a lunar rainbow) at the top of Lower Yosemite Fall, there wasn't enough light to allow me to see the moonbow. But my camera's ability to accumulate light for the duration of the exposure revealed all the natural color my eyes missed.
This is the fourth installment in my series on photographic reality.
