Great job w/your polarizer, Gary, to reveal the rocks.

@Judy aka L@dybug: Thanks, Judy. Not sure what you mean about the calendar on my blog. That's not something I have any control over, but I'll take a look anyway. Where are you looking?

Hi Gary - Thisis a wonderful dream here...The water is my favorite element ...the F16 aperture setting slows the water down just enough to give us a glazzy, glassy combination on the water's surface and the resultant reflections are captivating...further into the frame your exposure still slows it wonderfully...we can clearly see the bottom rocks and, further back, the trees..I really love the effect of the water thanks to your settings. From there, the rest of the image compliments and supports itself beautifully with the shrouded clouds and misty feel above..kinda like a Musorgsky symphony. The right hand side of the frame has that marvelous golden tone and light shining there...and that all contrasts so beautifully with the cooler feel on the left hand side! The towering trees stretching around really complete the frame by balancing it out bottom to top....Your archival images are like digging into Ft Knox....or a great bottle of wine...the older they get, the more valuable they are and so very appealing and uplifting....Just Beautiful, Gary. All the Best - DJ :-)

Beautiful image. I love the clouds obscuring the mountain in the background.

A very unconventional version of Yosemite, so full of charm and mystery thanks to the low clouds and the bad weather. Who said that you need sunshine for a good photo?
Love the delicate tonalities here.

All the best,
Donato
