Hanging On, El Capitan Meadow, Yosemite

Posted by
Gary Hart (California, United States) on 25 March 2011 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

I'm back from nearly two weeks in Arizona, half of it business and all of it pleasure. The business part was Don Smith's Northern Arizona workshop, always a treat. While we didn't get a lot of spectacular light (except at Antelope Canyon), we had lots of clouds that made for some real nice photography. I haven't gotten to my Arizona images yet, so here's one from my Yosemite Winter workshop. Over on my Wordpress site I use this image to illustrate how adding depth to an image can elevate it from snapshot to art.

This is beautiful. The white ice on the dark brown branches is beautiful. Lovely contrast.
