Listening to Dave Brubeck I couldn't help thinking that simplicity is too often overlooked in art in general, and photography in particular. Read my thoughts here.

One of the most exquisite flower shot I've seen for long. Lit from the inside with a spectacular glow of the petals (not obvious with the presence of a similar color background). WOW. Vertical crop was a clever choice. 5 stars and more.

Another beauty most important it's beauty is indeed in its simplicity

Very, very nice shot sir! Beautiful light, great bokeh, perfect focus and DOF. I suppose I should expect nothing less from you at this point :) You've got some great poppy images in your book as well, I've been enjoying looking through it lately.

Hi Gary - Ever since I first saw this poppy I have been in love with it. No one, absolutely no one composes, delivers such beauty and no one takes us on a heartfelt journey the way you do....Absolutely marvelous....Be Well!

By the way, I enjoyed your Tripod Police article. I prefer the freedom of not using the tripod, though there are times when I must use one. After seeing results that could have been so much better with the tripod, I truly understand the need. So, armed with all your good reasons, I am making slow but sure progress. Thanks for writing it!

@karla: Thanks, Carla. I guess I'm making the world a better place, one tripod at a time.
