Keeping with the winter theme, this image is a great reminder that photographer's weather and tourist's weather are polar (pun unavoidable) opposites. When the weather gets bad, the tourists head for cover while the photographers grab their gear and race out the door; when the sun comes out the tourists are off to the beach while the photographers hunch over their computers.
Like Thursday's post, the next few images I post will all be brand new images that will appear in my upcoming book, "The Undiscovered Country." While compiling, processing, and uploading these images to my publisher before today's deadline has been a real pain, it's been great to scour my archives and come up with "new" images like today's. In truth it's only new in the sense that I just came across it--it's been collecting dust on my hard drive for over two years. And while this book project has uncovered enough new material to keep me busy for a while, it's also made me pretty excited about what else might be there. Pretty cool.
So the moral here is, every once in a while take a little time to browse your archives--who knows what gems await you. Sounds like a project for the next sunny day....
